Lots happening since Christmas and a few things just before too.
I had a great time at the Cheltenham Folk Festival in Febuary. Met up with friends from Stockholm, Jan and Anne of Eiken Morris.
Met lots of English friends too.
Made some new aquaintences whom I hope they will get in touch soon.
Have moved flats too.
Shall be in a rechording studio this week-end. Nervous of course.


Nearly Christmas.folks. Been an expensive year for me, but a good one too.
Now busy planning for 2008. Plenty going on there,for sure

Off to Norway in a week for some Carolling

Just back from, "Melodeons at Witney", Oxfordshire.
Had a great weekend. Simon Care and Issy Ememey were my tutors. Learnt some good stuff.

Great weekend in Stockholm with the crowd of friends from Eken Morris
We even managed to dance some Playford at Stockholms "Skeppis"
Which is the Swedish centre for Folk Music and Dance.
Would you believe, it was, "Mr Beveredge's Maggot". The same dance that was on the TV programe. Pride and Prejudice!!
Easy Peasy.

August arived with our local, "Sunna Marknad". There has been a market here since the time of the plague.
This year it had a 1700's theme in honour of the botanist Carl Von Linne


We all dressed up in clothes of the time. Even had a Playford group from Norway there too.
Later the same day there was a local musicians gathering at Cafe Fjardingen. Good times for everyone.

Had a nice time at the Skagen Festival. Here are, "Shakespeare Morris, hiding from the rain
And the blue grass group, "4 wheel drive". Five men harmonising round one microphone, Brilliant!

Just back from a fantastic weekend in Stockholm, spent with the, - "Ekenmorris"



On their first outing of the summer.


After all the cancellations of events in March and at Easter, it was nice to get to the Mudcat Euro Gathering in Kiel at the begining of May.
We all had a great time.



Been working on a new CD from my computerised tracks. It's now ready. Called it :
Couple of my own songs on there, but the rest is traditional material.


Back from my tour to England. Four festivals in as many weeks was a bit hard, but most enjoyable.
Even managed some golf during the week
Met up with lots of old friends and made some new ones.
Very impressed with the Sheffield based group, Crucible.

Saturday June 3rd. Part of the Whitsun week-end.
On the 23rd. and 24th. June We'll also be taking part in the
Mid-Summer Festivities in the Mellerud Kommune area
along with the, - "Dansere & Spelmän på Dal"


I'm just back from the - "Scandinavian Squeeze in"
near Dalby/Lund in Southern Sweden. 19th. to 21st. May.
My first time there. It was good.

at the Saul Canal Festival, Gloucestershire.

Last time I was in Skagen for the Festival was in 1975.
Then I sang in the park. Made a few friends. Who over the years I have fogotten.
A group called, "Rain" I remember. They came to the first, "Jeppes Garden Party" in Sept '75.
And a girl who became quite famous in Denmark called "Trille". Sorry to have lost contact.
This time we just caught most of the concerts. It's big now. Elanor Shanley was very good.
But here are the "Jeppes Gang", on stage with Donavan!!

'the Fidtits' have been to the, Straw Bear Festival at Whittlesey, Cambrigeshire in Engand
for the past couple of years. It's great fun. Lots of Morris and Molly sides. Ceilidhs, Pub sessions and more melodeons than you can shake a stick at.
