Hello. I'm Chas Clark. This is a short history.
I'm a Londoner. Born in Tottenham 4th. July 1933. Moved to Walthamstow during the second world war. Schools: Lancasterian, Tottenham. Joseph Barratt Secondary Modern, Walthamstow.
Spent four years in the Royal Air Force. Two and a half in Egypt. Educated as an electrician. Cyclist in my spare time. And was semi-professional during the late fifties.
Started playing guitar in 1963.
Listened to traditional jazz around the London jazz clubs.
Regular at the Ferry Boat Inn, Edmonton.
Residents were Mick Mulligan and George Melly
I'm a Lonnie Donigan fan too.

Clan Malcolm 1967-----Madeira 1999
Spent two years in the merchant navy.
Started floor singing around the London Folk Clubs until 1968.
Moved to Oslo, Norway. Worked and sung and played there until january 2002. When as a pensioner I moved to Sweden.

Cambridge 1972-----Oslo 1975
I played at the Cambridge Festival, England, 1972.
Haugesund Festival, Norway 1972.
Skagen Festival, Denmark in 1975.
Opened a folk club in Oslo in 1975, Jeppes Kro.
Several spots on NRK radio during the seventies.
Retired and went sailing and got married/divorced.
Have one son. Philip, who has made this website for me.
Took up painting water colours in 1993 and came back to the music scene, when the Jeppe gang were at the Queens pub, Oslo.
Now we are at the Dubliner pub, Rådhus gate, Oslo every Tuesday night from 8pm.
Went to Madeira and played in the Irish pub there. With Phil and Brendan.
Played the Gränslös Festival, Åmål, Sweden May 2002
with, "The Fidjits".
Back to floor singing at the Stortford Folk Club, Bishop's Stortford, England in july 2002.

Cambridge 1972-------Portsmouth 1996
"The Fidjits" have been to the, Straw Bear Festival at Whittlesey,
Cambrigeshire in Engand for the past few years.
It's great fun. Lots of Morris and Molly sides.
Ceilidhs, Pub sessions and more melodeons than you can shake a stick at.

I've managed to get a CD out of my computer.
Called it, "Just Scratching The Surface". For obvious reasons.
